Authentication Proxy Installation Workflow

RICOH SLNX Authentication Proxy servers in the cloud reside between Delegation Servers in the cloud and RICOH SLNX Authentication Agent deployed on-premises so that Delegation Servers in the cloud can perform lookup in LDAP servers deployed on-premises and authenticate using accounts registered there.

Load balancers can be deployed between RICOH SLNX Authentication Proxy servers and Delegation Servers in the cloud. However, RICOH SLNX Authentication Agent connects directly to one or more RICOH SLNX Authentication Proxy servers.

The setup flow is as follows:

Order of Configuration

  1. Install the Authentication Proxy

    or Install Authentication Proxy Silently

  1. Install the Server Certificate

  1. Install the Authentication Agent

  2. The instruction is the same as installing an Authentication Proxy, but make sure to select “Authentication Agent” as the service.

  1. Request Client Certificate for Authentication Agent

  1. Configure the Authentication Agent
